Frequently Asked Questions
Do you ship to the US?
No, sorry, we don’t ship to the US or any other country (apart from UK mainland) other than Ireland.
How Much does shipping cost?
Our Dutch bikes are factory built in Holland. Unlike most other bike manufacturers, Batavus and Sparta build factory bikes, which roll off their production line. We then ship these from Holland to our workshop where we then carry out the pre-sale work. This includes removing all the protected factory coatings, and we take every wheel off, check it’s true and ensure all gears and brakes are working correctly. If it’s an ebike, in addition, we condition the battery for consumer use and we set up and configure all electrics.
All bikes are shipped fully assembled, as in as near ready-to-ride condition as we can make them.
Dutch bikes are larger than most UK branded in bikes. As they give an upright ride, they are taller in height and usually longer in length.
Please remember this when looking at our delivery prices. We don’t offer Free Delivery – each bikes costs us more than we charge you, our valued customer to ship.
Delivery Charges are usually now only £99 for most UK mainland addresses. Slightly more Northern Ireland and Republic Of Ireland.

What assembly is needed once the bike arrives?
If your bike doesn’t have a front rack, all you’ll have to do is attach pedals and straighten handle bars around. Tighten into final position and you’re ready to ride.
If you have a front rack, then you may have to (depending on size of front rack), fit this yourself as fully assembled it won’t fit into the box.
Will the bike be insured?
Yes, our delivery charges will include insurance.
Do you take Cycle Scheme Vouchers?
No, we don’t. We absolutely refuse to pay the rip-off high price commissions demanded from cycle scheme agents – typically between 15% and 25% of the total invoice value.
