Every year, The Littlehampton Dutch Bike Shop re-invests some of our revenues in sponsoring good causes.
Previously this had included raising funds for:
2010 Sponsorship - The Tour of Europe 2010
This year, we were approached by a young man, Christian Peters who impressed us with his amazing get-up-and-go attitude. Christian is 17 years-old and has already been bitten by the cycling bug and also has dedicated his free time to raising money for worthwhile causes.
In July, Christian is planning to ride 5,000 from London right across Europe to raise funds for the International HIV/AIDS Alliance.
He's doing the hard work - the route planning, fundraising, raising sponsorship and we're doing the easy bit - by donating Christian with a Batavus Course Road Bike valued at £1000. We've promised Christian that provided he achieves his goal and completes his ride, the bike is his to keep at the end of the ride.
We've no doubt, he will achieve his goal.
We'll feature regular updates on his progress through our blog and website including pictures of the bike being handover, which we hope to do at our Littlehampton Shop in a few weeks time.

The Batavus Course - road bike by Batavus.
Batavus are a well-respected international builder of road bikes, and sponsor a professional road racing team in the Netherlands. The above bike is the one that Christian will be taking on his 5,000km epic ride around Europe.
We know have wonderful our customers have been in the past when it comes to sponsoring and support those charities which we support, and we also know how tough times are. But if you could donate to Christian's Charity, both we, and he, would be most grateful.
Thanks in advance,
Paul, Brian and all the staff at the Littlehampton Dutch Bike CO.
