For those who like the styling and robust-go-anywhere feel of The Batavus Blockbuster, but want the benefit of additonal gears - Batavus have introduced the Flying D.

Designed for the style-concious and practical requirements of the Danish Cycle Market, the Flying D is a super looking, super-comfortable practical Dutch Bicycle, which delivers an amazing ride whiel still retaining a traditional Dutch bicycle look.

Flying D Saddle - Retro appearance, comfortable feel with none of the hardships usually associated with leather saddles - the Flying D's Drifter Saddle is a gel super-sprung saddle which offers comfort beyond that you'd normally associate with a bicycle.
 

 

Flying D is available in two frame styles - step-through as pictured above and also with a traditional crossbar arrangement.

  • Shimano Roller brakes (hub gears) front and rear operated by lever pull as you would any other braking system.

The Story so far...

We launched the Flying D at the NEC Caravan and Motorhome show in October and within five days of the show starting our initial pre-ordered stock has sold out completely. We're now pleased to say that the next builds are available in the UK, however, we expect the high demand for this model to continue.

Customer feedback on this model has been excellent with particular praise for the bike's striking good looks and extremely comfortable ride. For those not wanting the benefit of seven gears, but like the style and features of Flying D, we recommend you look at Diva for ladies and Blockbuster for ladies or gents.
