Overview

The Batavus Bub is a fun to ride, great-looking, eye-catching, ride-something-different, bicycle.

If you're fed up of boring bike shapes, and conforming to a generic, off-the-shelf bicycle, then Bub offers you something different. It is a great for those who want all the build quality that Batavus are famous for, but not wishing to pay for all the included extras that you usually get with a Batavus (eg,lights, lock and so on), the Bub offers you a great value, high quality Dutch Bike that comes with great looks and is comfortable to ride.

BUB stands for - Batavus Utility Bicycle.

On the 2nd of March 2010 the BUB has won an iF Gold award, one of the most prestigious international product design prizes.

The Batavus Bub -3 Speed Shimano Nexus Hub Geared, coaster braked bike which is fun to ride, eye-catching to look at, has extra wide tyres to take the strain out of riding on paths and roads, the Bub is fun, sexy and extremely light at only 14kgs. Built with a lightweight, over-sized alloy frame, the design of which, is based on a paperclip, sweep back handlebars, alloy rims, comfy saddle and extra comfy grips, this bike really is different.

A little bit about Bub!

Bub was designed as a concept Dutch bicycle by Batavus - it's a fun bicycle that gives a superb comfortable ride. Everyone that has ridden this bike during our UK Trials, prior to production, have remarked on how comfortable it is. Designed around an office doddle featuring a paperclip....Bub's frame evolved from a design to production and so far has won the attention of the media in the Netherlands and US and the hearts of those who've bought a Bub.
