The Diva
The Diva is now available in a 24" and 26" wheel version, ideal for either the smaller person or children.
Features include a 3 speed Shimano Nexus hub gear with front and rear caliper brakes.
A standard feature on all children's bicycles in Holland is to include an additional 3rd brake, a coaster/back pedal brake for added safety.
The Diva also comes with front and rear lights, the front light being a dynamo light turned on and off via a switch on the handlebars. So your child won't have to put their fingers anywhere near the front wheel to turn on the dynamo. Rear battery light on the rear.
As you can see from the picture below the front headlamp is cleverly built into the front handlebar so as to prevent it from being broken off in the event that the bike gets knocked over.
Other features include: Integral lock, rear carrier, side stand, fully enclosed chain guard, extra-wide tyres to take rougher ground as well as being smooth for on-road cycling.

THE PERSONAL BIKE FOR CHILDREN
The Personal Bike has been and continues to be a huge success for Batavus worldwide. An extremely robust, do-anything bike that has the added the benefit of every cycle having it's own integrated, cannot-be-missed personal number on the frame.
It's also a unisex bike. So boys and girls can ride it and therefore as a family you can swap it between children, regardless of gender.
The Personal Bike for 2008 comes with either a 20" wheel or a 24" frame.
