Pricewise compared to other 'off-the-peg' child seats, you're paying more for a quality child seat, but the pay off comes in greatly improved comfort, and innovative features. Why buy your Bobike seat from the Littlehampton Dutch Bike CO?

We are  a specialist, Dutch bicycle shop and having been retailing Bobike products since 2004.

Our business is a 'bricks and mortar' business where you're welcome to come and try out either a Bobike Mini front seat, or a Bobike Maxi rear seat. We have a demonstration bike all set up for you, and you're welcome to take it out with your child, or children.

As a specialist retailer, we're also familar with which non-Dutch bikes are suitable for bobike products, and those that are not. So if you're unsure if your bike is suitable for taking Bobike seat products, please check with us prior to ordering. However, if you do order from us, and subsequently find the bobike product you purchased doesn't fit your bike, we will of course take it back (subject to our returns policy) and issue with a refund.

Where a bobike product doesn't fit your bike - we appreciate that for those who really want Bobike on their bike, this will be disappointing. However, we do not, as another online retailer does, suggest a 'home-made' solution to fitting your product. Please be very aware that all the bobike products we sell - are designed by Bobike in the Netherlands and have undergone all the necessary tests and standard approvals before being available to retail customers.

Ultimately, your child's safety relies on the quality of the seat, and the quality and suitability of the fittings. Therefore we will only retail authorised Bobike Approved fixing kits.

Bobike Mini front handlebar seat, which allows a younger child to enjoy riding on the front of the bike. The Bobike Mini will take children up to and including 15kgs.

Rear Bobike Maxi seat with front Bobike Mini seat outside our Littlehampton Showroom. The circular logo was designed by Harry, aged 7 who won our 2007 'design us a logo competition' which we ran for our local school. Harry won a Batavus Personal bike for himself and £250 to help build Elm Grove Infants their outdoor garden.

 

Picture above shows our showroom test bike fully fitted with a Bobike front seat and protective windshield. Front seat attached to the front stem with the optional front windscreen. Benefit of windscreen is it keeps wind and rain and also dust and flies from hitting your child's face.

View from the front seat looking down. As you can see the child's hands can rest/grip the front handlebars if needed. The arrangement creates a sense of security for the child, especially as the parent's hands are essentially cradling the child as you ride along.

View of the seat rests, which are made from high quality, long-life, durable with easy-adjust foot rests. The simple, but very effective design along the down bar allows you to adjust the foot rest up and down to achieve an easier fit. Once you're happy with the position, you can then screw the cup securely into place without worrying that it might come undone.

The seats we supply at the Littlehampton Dutch Bike Co LTD are the Bobike Maxi, which is the rear seat, which can take up to 25kgs (displayed above). We also supply the Bobike Maxi Plus, which gives a higher back and wheelguards. The front seat is the Bobike Mini and this carries a maximum weight of 15kgs in the front suspension.
