The Batavus BUB XL
There is no doubt about it, the Batavus BUB Dutch Bike has been a runaway cycling success in the Netherlands and it’s also proved hugely popular here in the UK.
A quirky, fun, 3-speed Dutch Bike that has now become even more attractive to the UK market as this year’s model includes front and rear roller brakes replacing the ‘back-pedal’ brake.
The BuB was designed around a paper-clip and won a Gold iF European Award when it was first launched in the Netherlands – a remarkable achievement given that bicycles don’t usually quality, let alone win Gold iF design Awards!

The Batavus Old Dutch
An old Dutch Classic bike, a bit like a cup of tea – some might think it boring, but to others it’s an essential way of life….We think it looks gorgeous and, we love it so much one of our Directors rode one from Land’s End to John O Groats in 2006. Which turned out to be a wonderful trouble-free ride.
We first began to import this bike to the UK in 2003, and by doing so spurned a whole industry of online ‘Dutch style’ bikes and cheap look a likes.
Interestingly, as import costs and build cost in the Far East has steadily increased, the cheap lookalikes have now become more expensive and the price of the Old Dutch doesn’t look that expensive compared to these bikes as it used to. This year we’ve worked hard at keeping the price as low as possible on all our Dutch bikes and I’m delighted to say we can now offer the Old Dutch at an amazingly low price £497 Compare that to any of the online ‘Dutch bikes’, and or, ‘Dutch sytyle’ bikes and you can see what great value this bike is.

The Old Dutch White

The Old Dutch Black
The Old Dutch Gents/Crossbar version
For the first time, Batavus are now building this model in a smaller size – 56cm. Prior to this they have only built this in a size 62cm, which would be for riders who are extremely tall (for UK averages) as in well over 6ft tall with an inside leg measurement of at least 34inches. Therefore, we never imported it before or offered it for sale in the UK. In any event, the classic looped frame Old Dutch is very much a uni-sex bike proving equally popular with both sexes. Now that Batavus have introduced the 56cm size, we can offer it in the UK. However, don’t get too excited just yet as 56cm is a relatively large bike and will only be suitable for those riders with an inside leg measurement of 32inches and above. So if you’re inside leg measurement isn’t quite at 32 inches, this bike will be unsuitable for you.

The Old Dutch Plus
The Old Dutch Plus is the same bike as the Old Dutch bikes as listed and shown above, but with the addition of a front heavy duty rack.
This front heavy Dutch rack has been painted to match the same colour as the Old Dutch thus making it a more attractive finish as opposed to simply attaching the same colour rack regardless of the colour of the bike.
Price for the Old Dutch Plus is £567 – this represents not just the costs of the rack, but also painting the rack as well our further transport costs in importing the bike as the Racks are supplied in separate boxes.

The Batavus Galibier.
Those familiar with the Tour De France will recognise where this new Dutch Bike model’s name originates – Galibier being one of the highest mountainous points in the Tour De France.
Thus if you’re looking for a great Dutch bike and you’re living in either a very hilly area, or will be cycling in hilly terrains, the all-new Galibier is well worth considering.
With the benefit of 24 derailleur gears, and without the front hub dymano, but lightweight battery lighting – this bike makes for a great all-round commuter and with the rear touring rack, offering touring capabilities as well.
And of course, owing to the Dutch designed frame geometry you get a nice upright ride position ideal for those who find upright riding more comfortable owing to back problems etc. The front handlebars are also adjustable, useful for those times when you want to change your riding position, for example getting out of the way of headwinds and so forth.

The Batavus Personal Bike
A great all-round 3-speed Unisex framed bike.
Extensively used in the Netherlands by Bike Hire companies such as Mac Rentals in Amsterdam. The Personal bike is a super-comfortable bike with the benefit of each bike having it’s own Personal Registration Number built into the frame – hence the name – ‘Personal Bike.’
With 26″ wheels and extra wide tyres, this bike is very stable so can also make an ideal delivery bike.
